Since 2002, Art Basel, the exhibition born in Switzerland in 1970, has found in Miami Beach its natural winter extension.
Art Basel Miami Beach, at its 14th edition, represents one of the most interesting international events concerning modern art and design. It is the biggest contemporary art fair in North America, with 267 galleries, artists from all over the world and plenty of works of art.
Paintings, sculptures, installations, photographs and films are shown in the main room at the Miami Beach Convention Center from 3 to 6 December 2015.
Huge works and performances become part of the city in Collins Park, SoundScape Park and in the Design District.
Exhibitions take place also in open spaces and in unusual locations such as warehouses, private living rooms or even in some artist’s bedroom.
This year Natuzzi Italia will open a flagship store in Miami during art week, presenting for the first time in the States its Open Art project, born in 2007 with the purpose of bringing art in its stores and making it accessible, or ‘open’, to everyone.
Natuzzi Open Art envisages the collaboration with contemporary artists of all backgrounds to create site-specific works of art brought to life inside Natuzzi’s stores around the world.
The latest project will see French artist Adrien Missika create an art installation at the new Natuzzi Store in Miami.
